Raluca Papadopol, MD

Dr. Raluca Papadopol, usually known as Dr. P., finished Medical School in Iasi, an old and traditional Romanian university city. Her experience includes completing a Pediatric Residency in a top Romanian Children's Hospital located in Iasi and working briefly in an orphanage, providing care to the children in her hometown while finishing her U.S. Licensing exams. During her extensive training, Dr. P. had the opportunity to encounter a wide array of childhood illnesses, including some that fortunately are not seen in the U.S. very often – Measles and Rickets being such examples.

When she arrived in the U.S. in 2001, Dr. P. went through another Residency at the Children's Hospital of Michigan. She subsequently served a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and then worked as a general pediatrician in a beautiful rural setting in Tennessee, close to the Smokey Mountains. During those years she became accustomed to the needs of children raised in remote and underserved areas.

In 2009 Dr. P. moved to Orlando, Florida – working as a hospitalist for two local prestigious Children's Hospitals – first, Florida Hospital and then Nemours Children's Hospital. She again had the privilege to serve and learn from numerous families with children with special needs, as well as children undergoing surgical procedures or other interventions.

Dr. P. enjoys the most communicating with her patients and parents in an accessible and child-friendly language, be it while explaining normal development and growth or an illness process.

Dr. Papadopol is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She lives in Upper Dublin with her teenage son.
